Transcoma was founded in 1810 in Barcelona by Daniel Ripoll y Cía. as a shipping agent. In 1940 the company changed its commercial name to Transcoma.
The expansion of the company started in 1968 with the consolidation of its own network of companies: Madrid in 1968, Palma de Mallorca in 1969, Valencia in 1976, Tarragona in 1981, Cartagena in 1981, Bilbao in 1983, Ibiza in 1997, Alicante in 1997 and Vigo in 2004.
